Authors Bethany Mandel and Karol Markowicz encountered screaming protesters Wednesday night in Manhattan at a launch party for their book “Stolen Youth: How Radicals Are Erasing Innocence and Indoctrinating a Generation.”

The protesters, described as young white women, threw their drinking glasses at the wall where the pair’s books were displayed, Markowicz told The Daily Wire, and Mandel had books and drinks thrown on her, leaving the author soaking wet.

“I saw two wild-eyed young white women run up to our party and scream ‘Black Lives Matter!’” Markowicz recalled in an email sent to The Daily Wire. “They threw their drinking glasses at the wall where our books were displayed and ran off.”

“Suddenly I heard screaming, had books thrown at me and I was soaking wet,” Mandel said. “I realized young women with short, dyed blue hair were screaming at us ‘black lives matter, trans lives matter!’ I tried to talk to them, but they ran off.”

Mandel had her two-month-old baby, whom she is still nursing, with her at the event. Moments before the attack, one of her friends was snuggling with the child, who was thankfully unhurt.

“I brought my two-month-old baby into New York because I’m breastfeeding and he needs his mother. After a long day of publicity, we arrived at our book party ready to relax and celebrate with friends and colleagues. One of my best friends took the baby, excited to cuddle with him for a few minutes. She whisked him away for other girlfriends to admire and I stood near the entrance chatting with an elderly attendee,” Mandel described the moments before the incident.

More female protesters yelled at “Stolen Youth” event attendees, too, the authors said. “At the end of the event as guests were leaving, a different group of young women lingered in the doorway calling attendees fascists c***s and yelling homophobic slurs.”

Stolen Youth,” published by DW Books and released March 7, seeks to uncover and examine the tenets of the Left’s ideological war waged against America’s youth and equips parents to break free from the stranglehold and fight back.

“Our book is a calm, rational take on the indoctrination and forced conformity happening in America today and the way it is aimed at children,” Markowicz noted. “Their protest proved our point.”

“The deep anger at a book they haven’t read, at the fact that opinions other than their own may even exist, wanting to shut down an event held by people with which they may disagree, it’s exactly the kind of conformity that we talk about in the book,” she continued. “They’ve been allowed to rampage like this for too long and after no one has stopped them from coming for adults, they’re heading for your kids.”

Markowicz reacted to the incident online with a gif from “The Office,” mocking the protesters. “We had protesters at our book party in NYC tonight. They screamed ‘black lives matter’ and threw a glass that didn’t break,” she captioned the tweet.

“I said ‘can you redo that, no one got it on video’ and then they ran off,” she added in a follow-up tweet. “How embarrassing for them.”

“They threw their drinks on me but I brought two other changes of clothes because momlife,” joked Mandel, apparently ready for some baby spit-up.
