Monero is not a 'privacy coin'. Bitcoin is already private, see section 10 of the white paper. Monero is based on a misunderstanding of how privacy works in Bitcoin. Rather than privacy, it seeks to lose records and be anonymous. Privacy and anonymity are total opposites. Anonymous coins require onerous regulations to be compliant. Ironically, you destroy privacy by trying to lose records.

Scalability is still a massive issue, just look at the fees when bitcoin is under heavy transaction loads, and ethereum is getting worse than bitcoin as far as fees are concerned. Privacy and low fees are important if you really use crypto, I respect the dude opinion, though i disagree with the bitcoin dead part, bitcoin is the lighthouse, sail carefuly!
like all great things. by the time it goes mainstream it will already have been pumped sky high by big money. this isnt average joe and his stimulus and savings floating these markets and pumping them to new highs. this is BIG money that knows what the future looks like. heres a hint. blockchain, programmable money , governance protocols, and digital assets and currencies will be hundreds of times bigger by the time the mainstream average investor buys in. like all great tech it will be proceeded by numerous amounts of FUD. im in on the tech play aspect especially Liquid Democracy
