  1. The word hero is used too readily today. However, Winkle Brown was a true hero and we all need to be grateful and inspired – especially Britons and people of the West. RIP great man!

  2. Jesus…what a life. I look at celebs today, footballer players, social media stars etc earning millions and with all the recognition in the world…and then there are guys like Eric and his significance! Seems unjust to me. Anyway, rest in peace sir 🙏🏻

  3. Watched this on BBC 4 last night, I feel bad I have never heard of him but what a life well lived. As dumb as this sounds he was a real life Forrest Gump due to his impact on history

  4. Captain Eric 'Winkle' Brown….an awesome pilot a one of a kind. A great documentary indeed thanks for sharing his wonderful story with us. No wonder why he was given The Distinguished Service Cross. He has a character of his own and enjoyed his narration and his point of view. A forrest gump type story with a pilot twist……thanks for your service Cpt. Eric Winkle Brown and rest in eternal peace….

  5. Wow! Thanks so much for this wonderful documentary a out a truly …what can I say, words are not enough! A gentleman, it seems modest, and obviously simply passionate about flight. Full of information, and 'feeling' !

  6. Bless this man! It's sad men like him are gone my grandfather died in 2018 . a ww2 vet. I miss him everyday! My POP would be sick if he saw the state the world is in now in 2020. Especially here in the U.S

  7. someone responsible for YT subs should be imprisoned for life… with all the respect for Captain Brown – was it too much to make a written translation of this elder's speech?
