No one is debating the fact that the Senate has enough votes to get it done. It's still a hypocritical decision.
The guy speaking as a Republican doesn't even understand the issue or why this is happening.
There are three branches of Government and Republicans have the Senate and the Presidency. Obama did not the Senate with Garland. It's really that simple. They can whine about 'muh democracy', but we all know Democrats would have(and have at least a dozen times) done the exact same thing if they had the power.
The supreme God of Karma took Ruth's life, the left wing extremist who tried to beat death to get a liberal extremist appointment. Donald J. Trump, POTUS, gets to replace Ruth. Ruth blew it. Extremists love her. I support homosexual marriage if approved by the legislative process. I denounce having one extremist woman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, decide America will have homosexual marriage. That is a miscarriage of justice and an abomination. The states decide, not the Federal government. What Ruth did to America is an abomination and Communism.

Let's all just acknowledge that RBG was a terrible loss. I'm very conservative, but think it's very healthy to have discerning minds on our supreme court panel. True legal scholars that will interpret the Constitution as they truly believe instead of what their party wants them to believe. In a perfect world none of the supreme court justices would have any official or unofficial affiliations with either red or blue. I respect so much that RBG could put aside her political differences with Scalia and think people in American society should act accordingly. It's okay to have differing political opinions and still love and respect a person.
In the future Patrick as I admire your work, those around you who have a microphone have a responsibility to know the facts. Obama never had votes. Period. The seat was filled 29 times because those POTUS had the votes. Obama lost favor with each year in office.
