  1. Can anyone help with a rogue component from this? My GET still works and has been returning the same static data. And I can't find it on Task Manager.

  2. How many REAL WORLD apps actually have pom with the parent of springboot? Their website is so misleading and it seems to me that there's no way to define a proper pom using spring boot with no parent

  3. for 2.4.5 remove the flyway stuff it's not even relevant and add this
    spring:

    datasource:

    driver-class-name: org.postgresql.Driver

    url: jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/demodb

    username: postgres

    password: password

    hikari:

    maximum-pool-size: 30

  4. 1:23:10 If you still get error "Failed to configure a DataSource: 'url'" change application.yml to:

    spring:
    datasource:
    driverClassName: org.postgresql.Driver
    url: jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/demodb
    username: postgres
    password: password
    pool-size: 30

    And in PostgresDatasource:
    @ConfigurationProperties("spring.datasource")

    And it should work (Spring 2.4.4)

  5. If someone has struggle to follow the "@NotBlank" part at 59:52 → Since Spring Boot 2.3 you will need to add the spring-boot-starter-validation dependency to your pom.xml. explicitly.

    <dependency>

    <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>

    <artifactId>spring-boot-starter-validation</artifactId>

    </dependency>

  6. I haven't used Spring in a couple of years and I would really like to thank you for providing this tutorial. Really came in handy! Also, your voice and pace are on point sir 🙂

  7. Hello, 1 HELP:

    Starting with Boot 2.3, we also need to explicitly add the spring-boot-starter-validation dependency

    <dependency>
    <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
    <artifactId>spring-boot-starter-validation</artifactId>
    </dependency>

    By Baeldung…

  8.
